Maze stone glitch

So today i was running around in the twilight forest when i came across a maze. While in the maze i saw that there was a chest on the other side of some iron bars and decided to break through the maze stone to get to it. When i hit the stone with my vajra it instantly disappeared (the vajra). I have been in looking into why this happened and all i could find was this page.

The second comment down describes the same thing happening. So i was just wondering if i could get it back, and also inform every one else about the glitch.
